Import a Part (WITH its SuperKnob connects) to a Performance: HOW?

as per the title. I've created a Part in a different Performance. It has wonderful use of the SuperKnob. I want that whole Part, with SuperKnob connectivity and functionality, to come across into another Performance.

It doesn't do this by default.

Is it possible?

How?

Sorry, should be clear... these are "wonderful" Part usages of the SuperKnob that I've created.

It was inverted self humility as an attempt at a joke, of sorts.

Have you tried doing the revers and brining in a part to the performance you are building? Generally since the Superknob is a macro controller you want to have it set up on the main performance and then add to that performance. So if you could just add the other performance into the one you created with the super knob setup it should come in without disrupting the current superknob settings. However if you wanted the new added part to work with superknob you would need to program it separately once it is brought in. I am sure Bad Mister or Jason will have a better answer though.

When you take apart a Part (transplant, merge, what have you) - it loses its superknob and system effect identity because the system doesn't know how to best optimize these in the new environment. If you want to keep the superknob work, flip the script and keep that Performance as the "host" finding other donor Parts from the opposite Performance and transplant in that direction.

Or take the software assist for a spin. I don't know, honestly, if that experience is any better since I don't use the (at cost) 3rd party tools. However, I do know there are more options for "cut and paste". Others have a better feel for the software and how it may help in this particular situation.

The way I do it is get the pad and paper out and start writing down Common/Audio level assignable knob connections to the donor Part's assignable knobs (and those common ranges, hi/low). Then carve out where they would land in the new Performance.

The system doesn't try to do this for you even if there's a clear runway for the assignments.

Baffled.

I presumed (wrongly, again) that Yamaha just put the means to do this kind of Part porting with SuperKnob and Assigns somewhere unintuitive. In their special way.

Shouldn't be surprised that SuperKnob functionality is silo'd.

Add this to the hundreds of things that should be added/fixed in a next firmware. So blindingly obviously necessary that it's ridiculous to not have it be the default behaviour, and something that can be switched off, like Mixing, Arp etc.

To both comments about reversing... I'm adding to a Performance that already has some other SuperKnob magic going on. So one way or the other, I'm going to be getting out a phone camera to "screenshot" what needs to be recreated across.
