is it possible to insert one or two drum parts to use occasionally, into 9-16 parts slots?

My question is about how can i insert a second (or third...) drum pattern (or part), in order to enforce the rithm, (like what you can do in korg kronos, with "drum track" button). I need to use an addictional track continuosly, only sometimes , only when i like to do it.
Expecially in case i have 8 parts just occupied, and HOW can i control this additional drum-percussion track-part.

I have tried to insert a short drum midifile with "play-rec" function, but it substitutes the previous drum accompainement, instead than running parallel to it, and it uses the same pre-existent drum part , instead than a new drum part, as i like.

This issue of the Music Production Guide has two tutorials on the usage of the Pattern Sequencer for backing tracks.
Might be useful.

You want to check the whole collection from 2016 onwards, lots of excellent docs on Montage and MODX.

Maybe set it to ARP PLAY ONLY?

Have the ON/OFF Trigger set to a specific Key.

It's a thought/suggestion. Don't know if it will work.
