Is there a way to load more than one wav file at a time into MODX flash rom?
Many thanks for any info.
No. Current firmware, .wav Files must be converted to a MODX Waveform one at a time. In the past (Motif XF Series) you could load a series of .wav files into a Waveform (this was added as a firmware update). It simply let you set a Start Key and then it would load the .wav data alphabetically to individual Keybanks chromatically above that first Key.
In order to create a MODX Waveform, the most elegant way currently, is the John Melas MONTAGE/MODX Waveform Editor. It has all the tools to take your .wav Files and construct a MONTAGE/MODX compatible Waveform.
The MODX can load All Waveform (.X3W) files, Motif XF - each can contain multiple (256) samples.
Thanks for the info Bad Mister,
I am needing a sample editor but I don't know if MELAS editor works the same way.
I will look into the MELAS editor.
I just downloaded the MELAS editor.
It looks pretty awesome.
Can I load all my wavs to MODX with demo version or do I have to pay?
I don't mind paying as it is just what im looking for, just curious.
I really don’t know, but I would assume the Demo version would have limited or no ability to save your work.
I will try to load my wavs into the editor and then to MODX.
I will still purchase the editor as it is a nice sample editor too.
Many thanks for the reply.
