Question for the MODX MIDI Gurus.
My Chauvet Obey 70 (OB) Light controller only responds to MIDI notes to activate specific scenes and chases. That's the way it was designed and the only way to control lights via MIDI on that device. I am sending notes from a drum machine (Singular Sound BeatBuddy (BB)) directly to the OB currently and it works fine...but its not "controllable" as I need.
I would like my MODX to "listen" to these MIDI notes coming from the BB, filter them (so to speak), then send only certain notes (MIDI OUT) to the OB so the light scenes (or chases) can be activated with the drum as desired. The BB sends either ALL notes or NO notes... there is no ability to make it send only certain notes otherwise I would not have to involve the MODX. Sooooo I'm not even sure if the MODX can do this but I imagine it can...if I knew how to set it up to do it.
Any help, ideas, and constructive suggestions would be appreciated. TIA!

The MODX cannot receive and filter notes, in real-time...
_ the MODX can generate MIDI Notes — you can automate the notes with the Sequencer or with an Arpeggio
