I was listening to some live sets through Audition when my MODX crashed. Only the live set screen was still functioning. The super Knob led was on continuously and I couldn't get any sound out of it. After a reboot everything was back to normal.
Is there anything I can do in the MODX to see why it crashed? For example, fetch debug logging that I might then send to Yamaha?
I have firmware 2.52.0
What else was connected to the MODX…?
For example, playing back an AUDITION sends MIDI Out from the MODX, a “crash” in that situation is likely caused by echoing back several channels of MIDI data to the instrument simultaneously while it’s attempting to output that same data — depending on what is being Output (how much and what kind of data) you make cause a log jam and freeze the instrument.
If you are still connected to a DAW set it so you are not echoing the data being generated back in a MIDI Loop.
Good point Bad Mister. I had a Midi cable in Input and a USB cable both not connected to the other end.
Maybe that causes this issue 🙁

No if not connected then they cannot be the issue. “Not connected” is the same as not being there.
Is there any way I can provide crash information?. If that's not possible, I'll just wait it out and assume that the crash was a one-off
