With the lack of connection to the MIDI Device Manager in Cubase with the MODX, I'm not sure how to find drum maps for the MODX kits. So far, I've been using the GM map when I use the MODX as a drum sound source. It's not ideal, as not every kit is mapped on the General MIDI format. Is there a workaround?

Thanks for that. Really useful! π
On further look, I'm confused. I can follow the instructions in the linked page but the Cubase drum maps in the Data List manual don't seem to be listed correctly. They are given names such as Square donβt care and Jazz Singers, rather than the preset drum kits such as Epic Kit and Dancefloor Kit. That means I don't know which kit in the List matches the Preset Kit. This would all have been unnecessary were Yamaha to have supplied the drum maps as they did for previous synths. My MX49 is so much easier to to use that I'm considering selling my MODX6 at a substantial loss and sticking with that.
