This question has probably been asked already, but this is my first time on this forum... My question is, is there anyway to add an instrument definition file or patch name file for the MODX8 into Cubase AI Elements 8 ? I'm familiar with these types of files. I've even found a Cakewalk (.ins) instrument definition file for the MODX and changed it to an .xml file which is Cubase's file extention. But for what ever reason it is till not showing up in the Device Manager area where one would load or import the setup at? Any help or answer would be greatly appreciated.... THANKS IN ADVANCE..
Tony's post in this forum has been removed perhaps because he only created an account to post that content and have since removed his account. There was a post here with the XML file, but it's gone.
https://www.moessieurs.com/xml-montage.html
Has a direct link to the attachment - but that's not available.
... and this was the exact post:
https://www.yamahasynth.com/forum/instrument-definition-for-montage#reply-16370
But post 16370 has been "reshuffled" after the original content was deleted by the message system.
These files go stale over time as new firmware is released - which is another reason why it may be "best" that some old version is not out there.

A new MODX XML is in the works and should be fully tested by the time the new OS v2.0 hits... standby.
Hi
you can use mine with ROM performances at https://bwalk.com.au/pub/MODX%20Performances.ins
Built for Reaper and Sonar so it is a text file.
Hope this helps

Hi, you can find on Moessieurs the cubase script in .txt format file to use with Cubase for Montage OS 3.0 and MODX 2.0 :
https://www.moessieurs.com/cubase-script-montage.html
You have also instructions in French about how to install it with screen shot.
Use a translator online to translate in your native language.
Hope it's helps.
