I'm working with MODX8 and another synth, both controlled (program changes, pedals assigment, volume level, etc) by iMidipatchbay (a fantastic iOS app).
In iMidipatchbay when I recall a single perf on channel 1 (for example a piano) and another single perf on channel 2 (for example strings) I observed that the Volume sider for Part 1 works correctly, but the Volume slider for Part 2 doesn't change the volume and remains at the volume level assigned by iMidipatchbay or (turnig off the iMidipatchbay volume assignment) remains at the volume level of the performance.
The same with the third Part.....
Obviously I turned in OFF the Local Keyboard control

In "normal" situation (Local on and no use of iMidipatchbay) everything works fine.

Any idea ???

Thanks in advance.

Obviously I turned in OFF the Local Keyboard control

And that is why the MODX Sliders no longer affect the Volume of the Parts. Local Control Off means in order for the MIDI messages sent by the MODX to reach the MODX Tone Generator you must complete the routing through your external device. Part 1 is sounding because you have completed the routing circuit for MIDI Channel 1. When you expect Part 2 to sound, you must transmit Out on Channel 2 and ensure the return of the messages from the external device on Channel 2... and so on.

Yes, I know that...

The Part 2 sounds regulary, but I can't change the volume by its slider...
Tha Part 1 sounds too, and I CAN change its volume by the first slider.

Thanks for the attention.

... I found a solution with iMidipatchbay (so if someone need the same trick...)

iMidipatchbay (the full version) has 4 masters and 4 "slaves". I considered the MODX as 1 master (on channel 1) in which I configured the Part 1.
The Part 2 was on 1 slave (channel 2), assigned to the master 1 (MODX).
The same configuration worked for me with the Roland FA-08. I could change all the parameters of the both sounds (in channel 1 and in channel 2 if assigned to the master 1).
With the MODX it doesn't work.

I had to configured another master (MODX at channel 2), so for the sounds at channel 2 (Part 2), even if assigned to the master 1 (it always the same master: MODX), you can change the volume and the assigned knobs.

It means...if you need 3 Parts (and if you want change the volume.... for it) you have to configure the master n. 3 (on channel 3) with the same MODX.....

I don't know why with Roland I configured ONLY 1 Master (using other sounds of the Roland in slave zone) and with the MODX you have to configure a master for each channel.... but it's so !!!!

I'll write a mail to the iMidipatchbay developer to know if there is another possibility without configuring one master for each channel....
