I'm wanting to be ready for the new firmware update for the MODX due soon and I'm sure I read that certain things will be deleted when the new firmware is installed?

In preparation for this I've done a full backup onto a USB stick from the MODX and then done backups of user performances etc in the Melas software.

Can someone advise please if what I've done is sufficient to get all my performances and installed libraries and live sets back if they are removed during the update?

I'm still a bit unsure about the libraries which I've loaded - they're the free ones available on the Yamaha site and I've got backups of them from before installation anyway.

Thanks.

All you need to do is make a BACKUP FILE (.X8A)

Press [UTILITY] > “Contents” > “Store/Save” > set the “Content Type” = BACKUP FILE

This will write a clone of your entire MODX. After you update to 2.00 simply “Load” this Backup File.
