Hi,

I used to have a soundbank file that I purchased for Motif XF. However, it's in .syx file, which is loaded into User 2 of Motif XF. I wonder if I can do the same thing for MODX without incompatible issue?

Regards,

Not sure I understand the question. If you mean, can you load that .syx File to the MODX? That’s a no. System Exclusive data is exclusive to the product system.

If you mean can the MODX generate its own System Exclusive data that you can capture and restore to a MODX? That’s a yes. This is essentially what MODX CONNECT and Soundmondo (Capture) do now.

Motif XF data saved in .X3A (All data), .X3V (All Voice), .X3W (All Waveform), .X3G (All Arp) and .X3E (Editor) File formats can be opened and read by the MODX. It can extract the compatible Voice/Performance, Waveform and/or Arpeggio data from these appropriate File types.
