Hi Darryl --

I'm glad that's working out for you. Whatever works!

I've been fairly busy with other matters, but your question made me dig into Warren DeMartini's gear:

Gotta admit that I'm not too familiar with Metal, but it was fun. Maybe the info will help someone else out.

All the best -- pj

Thanks PJ, great article! I didn't get the 'exact' tone that Warren DeMartini has, as his just sounds a bit bigger/fuller & mine slightly thinner maybe, but it is very close!

As I mentioned, oddly the closest I could get to that tone/sound was not using double coil pickup waveforms, but rather by using the single coil 'TC Cln Pick *' waveforms:
TC Cln Pick Mute mf
TC Cln Pick Open mf
TC Cln Pick Slide f
TC Cln Pick Open Sw (for hammer-ons adjusting AEG with slower attack)

Also, I found that the British Lead & British Legend DSP effects didn't give the right AMP tone, even though Warren DeMartini uses Marshall amplifiers. I found the closest was the 'Distortion AMP Simulator 2' effect with AMP type set to 'Tube'...

Hi Darryl --

Thanks for sharing the results of your investigation. This kind of detailed info is always quite helpful.

Sometimes good old AMP SIM 2 is the right tool for the job!

Take care -- pj
