Hi 1. I use samplerobot software for modx+8. samplerobot allows saving in x7u x7l formats. I can't load files in x7u format to modx+8.
2. My computer is connected to modx permanently (usb cable). Is there a way to transfer files from samlerobot to modx without using a removable disk? Thanks
MODX+8 supports loading Montage X7U and X7L files. This shouldn't be an issue.
Current Yamaha Synthesizers: Montage Classic 7, Motif XF6, S90XS, MO6, EX5R
You need to load them from a USB thumb drive - not a PC.
I can't load files in x7u format to modx+8.
Are you getting an error of some sort? Or do you mean you can't load them to the Modx+ directly from a PC?
Loading them from a USB thumb drive is supported but you are correct that you can't load them directly from a PC.
See p.242 of the MODX+ reference doc. It has a table showing that both X7U and X7L files are supported.
If you are trying to load from a thumb drive and that isn't working then there may be a problem with the file.
Please respond with more info about whether you are using a thumb drive or not and whether that thumb drive has been formatted properly on the Modx+ itself. There can be problems with some thumb drives and also problems if the thumb drive is formatted on a pc and not on the instrument.
