Can someone explain to me how to save a song and then when you recall it it automatically is assigned to a performance.
Ive called up songs and it plays the wrong performance then I have to stop find the performance and start playing again
I want to assign a song to automatically play the correct performance... thanks!!

You have to use song&perf until the newer version of MODX comes out and you're able to use Live Set.
Current Yamaha Synthesizers: Montage Classic 7, Motif XF6, S90XS, MO6, EX5R

When you record a Song using the MODX “MIDI” Play/Rec feature you are given an opportunity to link the Song with the Performance you use to create it.
The Song data whether recorded on MODX or loaded as a .mid File, is stored in the MODX’s internal “SONG” Folder.
Press [UTILITY]
Touch “Contents” > “Data Utility” > Song Folder.
This is where each item you create or load from USB stick, resides.
Call up the Performance you created for use with the Song.
From the HOME screen touch “Play/Rec”
Tap the Song Name box and select “Load”
Set “Content Type” = Song
Load the Song from the Song Folder to the current Play/Rec screen
Play it to ensure you have a correct Performance and Song combination, correct Tempo...
When the transport is stopped tap the box that says “Store Song & Perf Settings”
Now they are linked and you can opt to recall “Song&Perf” as a linked pair.
