Is it known what the math is to create the Skirt variations of these waves so as to be able to plot them mathematically?
// not looking for scope imagery, wondering about the math.
Know where it's at to squiz at?
All 1, my guess:
f1 = freq
f2, f3, f4 etc = harmonic frequencies at octaves above added, via Skirt, up to 7
So any point in the phase:
sin ( sin(f1@phase) + sin(f2@phase) + sin(f3@phase) + sin(f4@phase) etc etc )
Don't guess. That's not mathematics.
You could start by heading down to your local University Bookshop or Library and getting your head around Fourier Transforms.
Since you obviously have some knowledge of Trigonometry and Calculus, that helps.
It's not a small subject.
Strong disagree. Math is all guessing. And then trial and error!
I'm being cheeky, Bill.
And, from experience, know that coming up with the math that gives tasteful, useful and efficient results is almost always a process blending guessing (hypothesising) and trial and error (experimentation and measurement).
As do you, I'm sure.
