The 50th anniversary page linked in the latest "learn" article has some great info. There's interesting what I believe to be new information about the origin stories of different instruments. Take the Montage classic in chapter 6. It's interesting to learn to internal codename was "daisy". I'm guessing this is from the first (or early) computer synthesized sung voice of Daisy Bell (a bicycle built for two). Since the instrument has two sound engines and also Chowing has a presentation where he covers the IBM 3270 (I believe) project in his presentation that covers his own later work at Stanford.
It also gives the "from the horses mouth" description of how the final product name relates to the instrument.
There's plenty more there and more to come. Must be some kind of reveal in chapter 7 (coming soon). Maybe the schedule for the next tech talk will be when that chapter lands.

Let's hope not. In America, Chapter 7 is synonymous with bankruptcy. 🙂

The VL1 and fs1r! I am still waiting these engines in a Montage generation X! They are like genies lock in a box. Yamaha, make them free, I have many wish for them. Interesting also when it speaks about yen that was low rate and good for exportation, but for this time, the yen is again quite low, we just saw prices increase. Ah!
