I see it all over the place, but can't find a reference to it in the manuals.

Got it.
Selecting this parameter brings up a selection menu on the left side of the touch screen.
Note: Not all parameters that bring up a left-side menu show the icon due to space constraints (e.g., the keyboard Range parameter in a Performance screen).
