With some SCENE changes, arpeggios start as soon as the button is pressed and with others at the beginning of the next measure.

Is there a document on here that outlines how to edit and set this behaviour?

The behavior is a Part Arpeggio parameter that instructs the Arp Select phrase to start/change at the top of the next “measure” or “real-time” (immediately).

From the HOME screen:
Select the Part in question using [PART SELECT 1-8]
Press [EDIT]
The “Part” number and “Common” appear in blue in the lower left corner
(If not, press the lower [COMMON] button).
Touch “Arpeggio” > “Common”
The parameter is called, appropriately enough, “Change Timing”

Touch the “Measure” box (green is active)
Press [STORE] to write your version to the User Bank. Rename it as you store it so you can identify your edited version.

Extra Credit:
In use, when using the right front panel [ARP SELECT] buttons directly, or using the [SCENE] buttons, which can store current Arp Selection, you typically want the top of the Arp phrase to begin at a measure line... there are times however, immediate control is preferred. That said, we need to introduce the different types of behaviors between ‘musical’ Arp phrases and ‘percussion’ Arp phrases...

While the Arpeggiators are running, you can interact with the “chord intelligent” phrases in real-time... those you want to be able to control in a fluid fashion. Contrast this with “fixed” Arpeggio phrases (like drums) where once they start playing, they typical just continue...
Because musical phrases often change mid measure, you have a method of controlling the “chord intelligence”.

What this means is... in order for the technology to adjust and play the chord quality you desire, you must hit that ‘controlling’ chord in a timely fashion! Basically: you can be anything but late!

If you want the chord intelligent Arps to switch to BbMaj7 at Measure 009, you can be anything but late. It the chord hits 001 clock tick late, this could mean the ‘bass player’, ‘guitar player’, and what ever else you are controlling via Arps will play based on the last received root and chord quality they received. You can be any thing BUT late, when entering the chord quality information.

You can feed the controlling chord data into the technology by anticipating the beat... making sure the chord info is registered BEFORE the critical measure-line. The amount you anticipate will vary on the nature of the phrases you are controlling, the tempo, and what makes you comfortable.

You can “quantize” (auto correct) the Arp change command; you will see a Arpeggio parameter called “Sync Quantize Value”...

Sync Quantize (Sync Quantize Value)
Determines the actual timing at which the next Arpeggio playback starts when you trigger it while the Arpeggio of multiple Parts is playing back. When set to “off,” the next Arpeggio starts as soon as you trigger it. The number indicates the clock.
Settings: Off, 60 (32nd note), 80 (16th note triplet), 120 (16th note), 160 (8th note triplet), 240 (8th note), 320 (1/4 note triplet), 480 (1/4 note)
