- The Global knobs dont send MIDI, just the Part knobs do (ie when a Part is selected)

Hopefully, that is not the take away here. If you are talking about the TONE, EQ/FX, and ARP/MS rows of knobs, they most certainly do send MIDI data. So 180 degrees on that statement. They absolutely, positively send MIDI data!

- Montage MIDI port 2 is recognized by the Yamaha Steinberg driver, but is not used as stated by you in other discussions, and nothing is sent on Port according to our tests

This is the port Yamaha traditionally uses for DAW Remote Control. And that is where it would go if implemented. I have no news on what will be included in future firmware, only that part of every product plan is significant firmware updates.

Bad Mister:

Sorry I was oversimplifying when I said the global knobs don't send MIDI. I just meant when they are in "Assign" Mode and a part is not selected. As mentioned, it would have been nice to be able to link the superknob to the assignable knobs and finally to the Part knobs to send MIDI CCs on each parts' respective channel and not have to select a part (like we can with internal parameters). But we can get around this with macro and assignable knobs in DAWs and even ultimately assign the superknob to one of these macro knobs and control internal an external sounds with the superknob 🙂

As for you comments on Port 2, I'll keep my fingers crossed for DAW mode implementation one day.

Thank you for your input into the thread!!!

Cheers
