Phil,

The "bop...drop" piano category performance has an algorithmically automated bassline that senses the piano chord root and generates a basic line. (I mute the similarly programmed, often conflicting guitar component. ) The adjacent performance, "let's comp" is similar but requires a manual bassline. Is there a way to replace with or automate that bassline as well?

Thanks,

roy/audiology

You could add the individual arpeggios for the bass part. Right now, "Let's Comp!" doesn't have any arps configured for the bass.

OR

You could tap on the bass Part from the [PERFORMANCE] (HOME) screen then select "Category Search" from the popup menu. Then select "Bop Till You Drop" and make sure "Source" is set to Part 3 (Not All) - which is the bass Part. This will replace Let's Comp!'s bass with the Bop..Drop one (including ARPs). You can determine Part 3 is the right setting by changing "Source" until you hear the bass instead of other instruments when "previewing" in the Category Search.

algorithmically automated bassline

in MONTAGE terminology that’s an Arpeggio

“Let’s Comp” will create the guitar ‘comping chords based on the root provided by your left hand walking bass, and whatever you doing in the right hand.

In MONTAGE terms, you simply need to assign an Arpeggio Type to the Bass Part.
