I am unlucky and stuck presently when come the time to record month of work in montage, it is like come back to the real word, working only in montage is like a paradise, a perfect world in comparaison, outside it is the jungle and chaos. Ah! If montage had everything for make a pre master……
My old cubase ai i got with my montage classic is out of date, I got fruity loops and another daw that always have issue with the montage, midi issues or even audio issues. I thought cubasis was the perfect tool for record on the go, just placed up my montage, it is very ergonomic but I got stuck notes when midi record. So witch daw would you recommend that work without issues for windows 10 ( my pc is quite powerful enough with 32 gb ram, i7 and the iconnect 4+ sound card) ? Cubase? I had choose fruity loops and cubasis ios because I like to edit with a touchscreen and a pen , cubasis is maybe not suited for touchscreen. So, have you some recommendations through your own experience? Thanks in advance.

What is it you need that your current Cubase ai doesn't have?
My old cubase ai i got with my montage classic is out of date,
Can you give us a little more info about what you mean by 'out of date'? Is there a feature or functionality that you want/need that you don't have now?
I tend to stick with what I already know (Cubase) so usually need a good reason to make a change unless there is some benefit in it for me.
You might consider checking out the specs on the upscale versions of Cubase to see if they might offer you some benefit. There might also be some cost savings for upgrading as well as a trial period for getting your money back if you aren't happy.
I'm sure there are others with more widespread experience that will be able to offer some specific pluses and minuses.
The original license agreement I have is that Montage offers you the latest version of Cubase AI. Asking Steinberg for a license for the latest version of AI as AI is updated has always been successful although the last time I did an update was v12. I do not regard v12 as being "out of date" necessarily. When I login to the download assistant to check if this is automated or not, I see Cubase LE AI 13 is available. So it looks like I no longer have to ask for the latest version. If you don't have the latest version available, check with Steinberg to see if you can get the right package added to the download assistant.
But to more directly answer your question - the best DAW is the one you feel comfortable with. They all pretty much get you to the same place. Some have different focuses which appeal to certain "styles" (workflows) and Cubase may not best fit your needs.
Certainly you'll get "better" support for Cubase products. Still, Yamaha does a reasonable job of providing information for even competitive products.
Current Yamaha Synthesizers: Montage Classic 7, Motif XF6, S90XS, MO6, EX5R
