I am curious if anyone knows details about the "B's Knees" Organ library for the Motif XF (by DCP Productions)..!?
https://www.yamahamusicsoft.com/synth/bs-knees-7
More specifically regarding the Waveforms that are used in this library..!? Are those Waveforms that this particular library points to in the Motif XF, the same Organ Waveforms that are the newest, latest & greatest Organ sounds on the Montage/MODX Presets? Or are they different/older Organ Waveforms that are in the Montage/MODX as part of all the MOTIF sounds that were brought forward?
Asked another way, are the 'new' organ Presets on the Montage/MODX, using brand new Organ waveforms that were not in the MOTIF XF, or are they using the same waveforms as on the MOTIF, and basically no new waveforms for organs were added? Or were the waveforms from the MOTIF XF just updated when put into the Montage/MODX Presets, with updated sounds?
B's Knees has no samples with this set. It uses the Motif XF samples legacy which are included in Montage. When you load this library, no additional waveform memory will be used - it is just settings to tweak usage of the samples already in the factory presets.

Product Description
"B3" Organ library (W)* Format: ALL (.n3.X3A)

* Size: No samples used
* Voices: 128
* Performances: 8
* Bank loads to: User Bank 4
* Other versions: Motif XS, Motif ES, Motif
I'd have to parse through the waveform list to see if there are new samples in Montage/MODX. There are new effects for the rotating speaker simulation.
Current Yamaha Synthesizers: Montage Classic 7, Motif XF6, S90XS, MO6, EX5R
I don’t know if any of your descriptions is spot on or not. You can load the B’s Knees data directly to the MONTAGE/MODX... since all 3,977 XF Waveforms are included in the 6,347 in the MONTAGE/MODX, and since Dave Polich (B’s Knees’ author) was a part of the MONTAGE voicing team, you can assume a certain consistency in the programming... and the improvements provided by the new engine have been used to optimize the organs.
As I mentioned in the other almost duplicate thread (B's Knees Library Waveforms vs Montage/MODX's Newer Waveforms vs Organimation), when I first tried to post this particular thread first, the YamahaSynth site crashed with a MySQL error. After it came back online, I couldn't find this thread, so I figured it never was saved in the database; however it appears that it was recovered from backup, or I just didn't see it for some reason. Regardless, I started the other new/similar thread later on the same topic. Yet both are very informative and helpful!
Awesome to know that Dave Polich (B’s Knees’ author) was a part of the MONTAGE voicing team!
