When I plug the USB device directly into the MONTAGE, it works properly.
However, when I use a USB extension cable between the MONTAGE and the USB device, the MONTAGE does not recognize the USB device.
Using a cable would be efficient, since given my setup access to the USB port on the back of the MONTAGE is not optimal.
Should using an extension cable work?

Just to follow up, I tried connecting using an active usb extension cable and it worked fine.
