Hello,

is there a way to copy an element from one part to another within the performance? I'm trying to make a single part performance out of the Bosendorfer grand piano.

Hope the question is clear!

Cheers.

Thanks for the question.

Yes, you can COPY (or Exchange) components when editing within the Performance.

Each Part, having as many as 8 Oscillators, can very much stand on its own. The ability to link them expands greatly the potential palette of timbres, tones, articulations, and nuance you have available for a playable program.

You can also consolidate — when creating a single Part version of the Bosendorfer, you’ll want to copy Elements between Parts (then you can delete the extra Part).

You can move/copy Parts, you can move/copy Elements. Elements can be copied between Parts

How to proceed:
Plan out what Element you wish to Copy… meaning both the source Part/Element and the destination Part/Element where you wish to place it. You will be able to copy individual Elements one-by-one.
The setup is fairly easy from there.

Navigate to the screen where you are editing the “source” Element (this will automatically setup the dialog box) .
Press [SHIFT] + [EDIT]
This will launch the COPY/EXCHANGE Element function
Make sure COPY is active (green)
— the dialog box will auto-fill Source Part and Element (black background) left side… you move the cursor to the right side, enter the Destination Part and Element (grey background)

Tap COPY

Rinse and repeat with other Part/Elements.

This COPY/EXCHANGE a function is context sensitive… when you are editing Elements [SHIFT] + [EDIT] launches the Element function. If you are editing on the Part level of the architecture [SHIFT] + [EDIT] launches the Part Copy/Exchange function.
