How do you delete a performance from a User bank?
Hello Lawrence - From any selected User Performance (Pf) - press 'HOME' - 'UTILITY' - then tap 'Data Utility' on screen and select the 'Performance' box from those that appear. This produce a listing of all User Pfs on Momtage, 12 to a page. On the bottom you'll see a 'Name' box - tap that and the Pfs are listed alphabetically (easier to find) and at the top right you will see a box labelled 'Job' - tap that (it lights up green) and you can then tap all the Pfs you wish to delete (they light up with a blue arrow) and a box at the bottom says 'Delete' - once you have selected the ones you want to delete, tap the 'Delete' button and they will be deleted. NOTE there is also a 'Delete All' button, which will delete the entire file.
Thank you.
I was hoping it would be as easy as deleting a part!
Oh well. This will accomplish the task.
It would be nice, if when touching the PART name or the performance name near top of screen at [PERFORMANCE] (HOME) that the left-hand-menu that pops up would include a "Delete" for both actions. Using the [UTILITY] method is OK for batch jobs but deleting the current performance should aspire to be less "deep" of an action.
Current Yamaha Synthesizers: Montage Classic 7, Motif XF6, S90XS, MO6, EX5R
Yes I completely agree. Current Utility method is cumbersome in many situations.
There should also exist the option to choose what to delete. For example, not just the Performance but any Waveforms associated with Performance too.
Hello - might be useful - when deleting a Pf, Montage presents you with ALL the Pfs available which may run to many pages, and it's a pain to tap away bottom right to get through the pages if the one you want to delete is near the last - but just tap the actual page numbers (they highlight) and the data wheel can be used to zip through the pages like crazy. Saves me a lot of time ...
