Hi,
I have a good 88 keys Keyboard controller, and i'm interested in the sounds and editing abilities of montage / modx.
I understand MODX analog outputs are worse than Montage analog outputs. But i'm wondering if i play MODX sounds (mostly pianos and keyboards sound) via my good controller, and recording digitally direct in logic with Audio via USB , if the sound quality of those recordings will be very different than if i used Montage Audio via USB ?
As Modx is way less expensive than Montage, it could be decisive for me.
I'm not a synth guy, and i don't want to do live gigs... but to record gound sounding piano and keys parts with modern sound editing capability is my objective 😉

It seems also editing is more complete with montage/modx than with motif.

Thank you for your answer to come !
Alex

Comparing MODX to Montage's digital path shouldn't uncover any major differences in quality. It's mostly flexibility as MODX has less digital audio channels.
