I have recently downloaded the updated 2.0.2 version of the E.S.P plugin for Montage and have been experiencing a lot of problems with dropouts and breakups in sounds trying to use the plugin. I am running this on a fairly robust PC running windows 11 with an Intel i7 processor, 32MB of RAM and a SSD. My audio interface is a PreSonus Quantum HD8. Everything has been updated to the latest drivers. I haven't had problems with other plugins, only this one and I have noticed that it has shows very high CPU utilization, particularly on patches like Shrine that have multiple parts. I mainly use Gig Performer 5 and it will show a CPU usage of about 20% on this preset even when I am not playing anything. Once I start playing CPU usage jumps into the 60+ range and dropouts and breakups begin to occur. I have experimented with buffer sizes and have tried running E.S.P in Cantabile and Cubase but get the same result. Just checking to see if anyone has had any luck with any system setting or other adjustments that might make this work. I had really hoped version 2.0 would fix these issues but so far it's just been frustrating.
Thanks in advance for any tips or suggestions.

Not that this is a solution or that you should run it this way, but I wonder if you use Montage M as your audio interface if the CPU utilization stays at 20% at "idle" with a Performance that uses a lot of Parts and drops out while playing.
"Hopefully" there's no difference meaning it's dropping out because that would get more traction taking 3rd party audio interfaces/drivers out of the equation and would be an interesting data point.
Other ideas ...
I'm not sure what effects Shrine has but you might experimentally try turning effects off (main, system, insertion). If this helps then you may be able to figure out which level and which exact effects are most impactful then decide what to do (tradeoffs).

Despite the high performance of your computer, there are things you should do to optimize Windows to handle real time audio processing. Grab a copy of LatencyMon and run it to create a baseline.
