Actually it isn't a roast he merely state to look into the design
off the montage and said it twice, one on Korgforum and on
the karma-labs forum as he is currently busy with other things,
The time to do so isn't high on his priority list.

Plus this was before the latest firmware update so who knows.

It is just fascinating .

Speaking as an experienced software developer, it's not unusual for a seemingly reasonable and simple request to require so much work that it's impractical, or in other cases that the request is just plain impossible. We would need to know the technical details of the Montage's internal architecture to know why Yamaha forces PART n to always be on MIDI channel n.

Or, we may get the ability to put a PART on whatever channel we want in some future firmware release.
