Hi just got my Montage yesterday! Awesome!
I have FC7 controller assigned to SuperKnob.
I pick a sound, use the pedal, all good.
But when I switch between sounds, the FC7 won't take affect until I push the pedal all the way down to the starting point again.
Is this expected behaviour?
If the FC7 is half way pressed, and I switch to a different sound, shouldn't the controller just continue to work from that position without pushing it all the way down to essentially "reset" it?
This happens maybe 50% of the time that I swap between sounds with the MC flag set. There's no consistency, and not always with the same sounds.

In Utility Settings Midi I/O do you have the Controller Reset set to Hold?

Yes, it is. While a parameter's value can be stored, it's physical controller does not necessarily physically move to that stored location. For example, the Control Slider Faders, they are set to a volume value as stored in each Performance. The red LED changes, the physical position of the Fader (not bring motorized) does not. It cannot. So the Fader must be moved until it "hooks" the value, at which point they coincide. "Hooking" is simply moving the physical position of the controller to match the stored value, at which point it actives. If the Faders were motorized they would physically move to the stored value automatically upon the Performance bring recalled.
The Super Knob is a continuous turn knob that uses read LEDs to indicate the initial stored (and current) value, when linked to the foot pedal (which is not motorized) you must move the foot pedal to a position that matches the stored value of Super Knob. 0 is minimum, and represents the heel down position, 127 is maximum and represents the toe down position. If a Performance has the Super Knob stored at the 0 value, you must move the FC7 pedal to the heel down position to "hook" it, at which point it becomes "live".
Moving the knob itself no hooking is necessary because the lighted value guarantees the stored position... And the continuous turn capability allows for it to be immediately "live". The physical controller FC7 must be moved to the value to become "live"
This is perfectly normal behavior.

And to add my 2 cents: I love that behavior. Nord has the opposite, where it jumps to the current value, when you move a knob. Sometimes resulting in real bad surprises! So I almost never tried touching the knobs when playing live.
