First thing - make sure you peel off the protective plastic shield and throw that away. It ships from the factory with a plastic cover (which will only misdirect your touch).
It is recommended you use a micro fiber cloth (no kind of liquid necessary)... Stop by a local Yamaha in-store event in your area and get a cool "Montage" logo'd MicroFiber cloth!

I was just about to post a related question but since you have this going:

Unless the Montage screen is made from Gorilla glass (??) or other up-armored "glass" maybe a large touch screen protector (e.g., Zagg, 3M), cut to fit, might not be a bad investment? If this screen gets as much finger time (and just plain touch "abuse") as my tablets, 2-in-1 laptop, or Android phone I am seriously thinking about it.

Maybe any long time keyboard players that might have OTHER touch screen boards (beyond your ubiquitous Androids, iPads, iThis,or iThat) can jump in with a yea/nay?

Even though I'm not carrying around my Montage like a pocket phone or tablet the Montage cost an order of magnitude more!

@ Alan, I don't know. They were a small gift for those attending the Montage training tour. I have no idea what or even if they are available - I'll find out.

@ Larry, any quality micro fiber will do. And I don't believe it will get near the workout tablets or smart phone screens get, simply because you have hardware buttons, cursor arrows, knobs, faders and a Data Dial to ease the amount you actually need to touch the screen. Most everything in the screen has a hardware button selection, as well. But get a good quality micro fiber - get them from your eye doctor.

They work remarkable well, and worth having around, just in general, these days.

The instructions say to never touch the screen. 🙂
