can i get a prescription for the lead sound sample right at the beginning of the song. which root preset should i start from.

Maybe "Soft RnB (lead)" or "Wind Synth" and add a filter envelope (or LFO filter work so I have more control) that brightens up the sound after some delay. Really, I would probably just go to the Lead synth category and start playing the line scrolling through until I found something I liked.

... I guess it's worth mentioning there are several "Rock With You" Performances on Soundmondo. Joel's doesn't mention having the intro lead part (maybe it does) -- and there are lots of others without any description. I'd start with those to see what others have done. The Youtube video you sent lead part isn't much different from the original outside of maybe the filter.

I can't find a preset with that sound. It might be simpler to just buy the Narfsounds library:

It sounds pretty much the same to me and you will get all of the other sounds listed as well.
