Hi everybody
I have a montage and would like to import in the easiest way a couple of presets from my reface DX. Any trick for that task ?

A Reface DX is not completely compatible with FM-X in Montage due to its feedback structure and possibly other differences. That said, there may be a conversion utility to "port over" Reface DX to a standard DX7 sysex.
A Sysex dump on Reface DX is accomplished with the following MIDI command:
F0 43 20 7F 1C 05 0E 0F 00 F7
And there is a utility here:

Which says it can convert various sysex dumps to the DX7 format. I'm not sure what's supported and what's not because the thread mentions more about converting from a standard DX7 sysex to the Reface DX format (and not the other way around) - but the website implies the other way may be possible.

If the utility is not "FM-X aware" - then patches with more than one operator with feedback may not convert properly.
Your donation to the author may help support better conversion if the feedback differences are not supported.
