I would like to create a note that is a drone throughout the song without having to hold down the key or the sustain pedal. Is this possible? I have extended Warm Backing Pad out to a minute or so but it always eventually decays. Is what I am trying to do possible?
Thanks,
Phil
I don't know if there is some way to do it for AWM2 parts (like Warm Backing Pad), but the amplitude envelopes in FM-X parts have a release (hold) level option. You can raise that value so it never decays.
FM-X is easier - but if you need AWM2 drones, then you can use an ARP that accomplishes the same thing. As long as the AWM2 doesn't decay on its own during the decay portion.

There's a link inside this discussion to yet another discussion.
Links can be found by entering the following into a browser which, for me, ends up doing a google search:

Current Yamaha Synthesizers: Montage Classic 7, Motif XF6, S90XS, MO6, EX5R
