When I put record to daw in utility, all the part usb output that I set in edit part to 1/2 3/4 โฆ.15/16 change to main lr output? Even if I store the performance before.
Is there something I am missing?
I can use only standalone mode for record to a daw. I set the 8 tracks in the daw as 1/2 to 15/16 for multi recording at once as I perform in live. Anybody else had this issue and how you get ride of this for multi recording in a daw ?

Finally maybe some ghost in the machine, when put record to daw it change only the part 1 to usb main lr and that is what it should do I suppose. In fact in cubasis ios main lr output is shown as 1+2 input then 1+2 output is shown as 3+4 input and so one. That was a little confusing. May be I had a patch where all parts were setting to main lr usb and I did not know. I made 20 patches for 20 pieces of music and I did not care until now of the parts usb output .

Audio Rec On DAW will, after you press it, setup the outputs for each Part to a USB channel. Since Montage has 16 Parts total and only 15 stereo USB outputs, Main L/R is used as a USB output so you get a total of 16 stereo outputs.
The mapping starts with Main L/R for Part 1, USB 1/2 for Part 2, USB 3/4 for Part 3 ... and so on.
You don't have to map things like this - but then you would have to go into each Part and set the output to the USB stereo pair you want. Maybe never use Main L/R if you aren't recording 16 Parts at a time.
That said, having one button to press is convenient and once you know the mapping it should be fairly simple to work with.
I think you figured all this out through trial and error - but the linked tutorial goes into this detail.

Thank you Jason, I figured out. I can still use the short cut record to daw mapping and switch effects in utility.

Just curious - what do you mean by "switch effects in utility"?
I'm assuming you mean the [UTILITY] "Effects Switch" menu. What I'm wondering is what you switch on or off in that menu?
USB outputs do not (and cannot) use system or master effects. Main L/R can use system+master effects and will if these are switched on. In order to match all the other USB output channels, you would (probably) want System+Master effects turned off so Main L/R is identical to any other USB output. Maybe your effect switching is related to this area of functionality.
I think the reasoning for this (from Yamaha) is that you may want to master the effects external to a Part (i.e. shared effects: system + master) in the DAW so these all output "dry" in terms of shared effects. Although there's a use case for printing system+master effects to USB (the numbered outputs) -- it's not available in Montage (or MODX).

Thatโs the point, dry recording for mastering effect in the post recording. I use this classical process
โrecord first in midi from montage( then with effects, that s help for play)
โediting midi tracks
โ recording dry audio from midi tracks( daw to montage to daw, the most easy part that I love, just one click)
