I have created a number of Live Sets, but yesterday I noticed a blank slot that was coloured dark grey, and 'Not found' written therein. I swapped it with the last item, but it's still there (now the last item). How do I find what should be there and get it back, or alternatively get rid of it? Has anyone come across this problem? Thanks ...
This is usually because the performance that was registered to that slot has been deleted at some point. You can delete the slot itself by pressing edit and then choosing delete from the bottom of the screen.
Hello Phil - I see, thanks - I may have deleted a User Performance that I had used in that Live Set. So that Performance being deleted would result in the loss of any and all Live Sets it had been used in? It's a point to remember, if so! Or, as I'm never actually satisfied with anything I've done, if any User Performance is tweaked some more and then replaces the original - all the Live Sets it had been used in would also contain the newly tweaked version?
Try to think of live sets as pointers to performances (preset, user or library) so if the performance is deleted the slot has nothing to point to. Also if the performance is altered and overwritten the slot is still pointing to that performance so any slot referencing that performance is affected.
Thanks Phil, that's a handy analogy I won't forget - but I bet I'll get a few surprises!
