Can one store the customized parameter changes/settings? Some things are strange such as the "store current settings" parameter located on the "quick setup" page. I thought that this store location was for the complete utility pages but, no, it is for the quick setup routing changes but, if you select store current...AND decide to back out or cancel without having changed anything then the setting for arp out midi gets switched off. There are a few other things that get changed without one actually changing anything because when I check on utility settings, things aren't always the same.
I haven't stepped through all the settings in the [UTILITY] screens, but lots of that is stored in the parameter mapping at address 00/00/00 - 00/05/14 where I'm showing adr-high/adr-mid/adr-low (aka the "SYSTEM" area).
How this relates to "store current settings" - I don't know.
Experimentally, you could store two sets of settings with every parameter in the "SYSTEM" area as a different setting. Then switch between the two (back and forth, then back again), bulk dumping the system area after this process (00/00/00 - 00/05/14), switch to the other setting - bulk dump again (in total, 4 switching events, two dumps) - then do a reverse diff on the result. Anything the same would be items not updated by the "store current settings". Everything different would be presumably "actively" stored.
As far as I can tell - there's nothing called the "System Edit Buffer" - which can mean almost anything (infer away). Other items do have an edit buffer.
Since I don't have the answers - just work to do which may be better served with some "real" answers rather than going the process - I'll leave it there.

Al I really want to know is how-when does utility get stored. How can we store all of those parameters, whether it gets stored on board or USB.
From the Owner's Manual....
Making Global Settings
You can set various parameters in the Utility display. In particular, you can set the parameters that apply to the entire system of this instrument by touching the [Settings] tab. The changes you make in the Utility display are activated once you press the [EXIT] button to return to the original display.
You can create, name and store your own Quick Setup 1, 2, and 3, which will replace the Factory ones. They will remain in memory until you overwrite them or initialize them. In general, there is no specific routine (like pressing [STORE]), any changes you make in Utility mode simply remain, you simply [EXIT] to return to your Performance. (They remain until you change them).
