MIDI Thru question

Hi all,

excuse me in advance for my silly question but I would like an advice for my setup.

These are my instruments for now:

Montage 6 (Master keyboard): MIDI IN , OUT, THRU
microKorg XL +: MIDI IN, OUT
Arturia Keystep: MIDI IN, OUT or assignable THRU
Korg Volca Bass: MIDI IN

All of them are connected to DAW via USB and in this case I have no issues.
But, when I need to use this setup without having the DAW turned on, I would like to use the above setup via MIDI and use the MONTAGE as master keyboard/clock.
So the problem is that the miniKorg has no THRU and of course the Volca has only IN so I can't figure out how to make the connection without needing to buy a MIDI THRU box.

My idea is to be able to control in SLAVE the microKorg and send the MONTAGE's while for the Keystep is necessary only the Clock signal that then will bass to the Volca.
I am afraid, the only easy solution to this is an additional THRU box.

Any clues? You think is possible?

Thanks in advance guys!

Thank you Jason, I've already seen that post some days ago trying to solve this THRU limitation.
I decided to use the DAW USB connections at the end, everything is much easier…

Thanks for your help in any case.
