Hi dear all, my new Montage M basic video is online now in English, this week I explain how to you all you need to know about using Arpeggio individual screen settings with your Montage M, how to search arpeggios, what are the arpeggios titles mean, how to change velocity and gate for each arpeggio variation.
Don't miss the bonus to see good tips and advice to a better using of your arpeggios directly from Home screen.

This video have subtitles fully edited, activate them if you need, voice over is done for technical parts.

La version Française de cette vidéo est ici : https://youtu.be/s9g4qLKV8XI

Another nice, to the point, video. I really like that you mention, and demonstrate how some parameters won't be as effective on different types of parts, like drum parts.

Not necessarily relevant to the video but @3:15 when looking for funk, users can also select the sub category shown on the screen named 'Funk'.

Question - would you mind posting the details of the hardware/software you are using to display the Montage M screens on an external display?

It would be good to trade notes on different setups that work for external video display and capture.  So hearing Joel's specifics would be interesting.

Generically, the same setup that worked on MODX/Montage classic would work both for external display only and for external full touch.  At least, there's a video of a user who shows a touchscreen setup (not the Dell, but a smaller "Chinese" monitor) that mentions it working for touch for both MODX and Montage M.

Once you have the display working from USB (to device) to a monitor you would attach a video capture device instead of a monitor to record the video.  I use an Elgato "Cam Link" device for this.

With the new sub screen, the wrinkle today would be in finding an external monitor that advertises the "right" resolutions if using touch.  The problem noted by a few folks is that when you enable external touch which forces the internal screen off, the external monitor's font size may change to smaller characters.   I think this is a matter of the OS negotiating a different (higher) resolution than the native screen.  And presumably this wouldn't happen if the external monitor didn't advertise higher resolutions.

If you use the external monitor for non-touch then the internal display will not be shut off and the resolution of the external monitor will match the internal monitor (a "slave" to its resolution) and therefore will not alter the font size.

The preferred setup to achieve the best results, to me, would be to not use external touch and instead continue to use the native screen for touch.

Hi, thank you for your comments, it's the same gear since the Montage en 2016: an usb to VGA adaptor with Texas Instrument chipset, and an HDPVR rocket hauppauge. I have then in twice in case off 😉 It's go to OBS Studio that manage the Jabbra webcam on top and OSbot webcam on face.

I do not use external touch screen.
