Hello.
After two years of using my Yahama Montage 7, it suddenly stopped working, and after being checked by a specialist, it turned out to be a failure in the mother board. I'm really dissapointed that this can happen to a supposedly "professional" instrument, when I have only given it normal use and been really careful when transporting it for gigs. I really need a replacement as soon as possible because I play live regularly.
If anybody has information about who can I contact about the replacement it would be really helpful.
Sorry to hear that. Yamaha should pay to fix it even out of warranty. Noone should be expected to pay out of pocket should this happen in such a short time
Sorry to hear that. My Montage 8 also stopped Working After nearly 2 years. Main Board failure. The AWM2 didnt produce any sound, but the FMx Worked.
But it was in warranty and After 10 Weeks the Main Board was replaced. It hat to be shipped from Japan to Germany...
I Hope eberything will be Fine in the Future.
I wish you good luck with your repair.
Chris
Sorry you are having issues with your instrument. Please contact Yamaha in your part of the world... the address and phone contact information is in the back of your Ownerβs Manual.
I also have got a Yamaha Montage 8 that has been working well for the past 3 years and i was the first person to use it. It was brand new but all of a sudden the Display went blank and it's just white and no sound at all but all other function buttons are responding when you press them . Am so frustrated that such a machine like that one can just stop functiong from nowhere.
Sorry you are having an issue with your MONTAGE 8
Any machine (including a complex musical instrument like the Montage) can have issues β¦ but I donβt think we need to say that, you know this.
Do you own a carβ¦ had an issue with my $250,000.00 sports car, can you imagine! π tire went flatβ¦
If you are unaware of what the issue is exactly, please refer it to an authorized service center for repair. Sounds like a simple loose cable connecting your screen β¦which can become undone particularly with the 88 key model (they get dropped, and banged aroundβ¦ Iβm not saying that this is your issue, or that you dropped or banged your unit (Iβm referring to βothersββ¦ ), itβs just that 88 key models tend to be dropped and banged around a bit more than their lighter weight cousins. Connections can become loose or in the rare instance, simply break.
Have it looked at by a qualified technician.
