I'm looking for a good headset mic to use with the Montage for vocoder purposes (live) and found the Shure SM35. Now.. The problem is that its either wireless (not interested in that approach) or.... balanced xlr.. So googling I stumbled on this thread. Would you suggest that Little Imp "converter" in my case as well?

I am using the SM35 with the Montage. It is really a great microphone - not only for vocoding. But of course it requires something to be put in front of it to do phantom power, as you discovered. There are little specific boxes for that of course. However what I use is a little dedicated mixer for that. They are really cheap these days but still with good quality. And the additional benefit is of course that you also get a little mixer, not just the phantom power. I use a Mackie Mix 8. But even the Mix 5 for something like $70 would do it pretty well...
I would like to know if it is a way to use wireless Mic for the vocoder for the montage?
Yes, you can use wireless. Something like this will work:

I'm not endorsing any particular product - this one may be terrible. What I was looking for was an unbalanced 1/4 output. This is a direct plug-and-play with Montage.
Audio Out Connector: 1/4" unbalanced
Nady has receivers with similar output specs.

Both of you have made far, far too much of this situation. Trust me on this,,,Just take a TRS cable with male plugs on both ends and connect from outputs of your device to Montage inputs.
USUALLY, in modern equipment such as is mentioned here, everything will work just fine, except, most likely, a drop in signal level by about 6 dB. System noise MAY be an issue but, not usually. Just try it. There will be no danger here and you will avoid the extra, cheap box or boxes between the two. Just do it
@Arturo - Phil is commenting about the thread content before you posted. You can disregard his comment and the previous thread content because it would not apply to your situation assuming you have a similar receiver as recommended.
@Phil -"Just try it the non-ideal way" is my first advice too -- because it requires little financial or time investment. However, there is content for the purist or those who are not happy with audible issues that may be encountered by first trying quick and dirty.
