Hi...
Please, help we the keyboardist going fully wireless by supporting CME.
#1000 needed, #721 currently and counting.
They promise...

Thank you.
😀 😀 😀 😀
I'm all for it.
But, low latency, means there is latency. This drive has been going on for decades, and the progress is made possible only by the advancement of core technology. i.e. Processor speed.
WIDI is a no brainer... low volume data transfer.
The problem is, and always has been, Audio.
Lossless in this sense, usually means minimising the compromise of "loss". 5ms is noticeable to a good ear, not as detectable Delay or Lag, but in feel and fidelity.
This is also +5ms onto your existing 5-10ms of Digital "sound production" latency. Now you are up around 15ms! Phasing, comb-filtering... a feel of loss of quality. It is tolerable if the convenience benefit is worth it, but if "wired" audio is no hinderance, then why tolerate?
One day it will happen. When the ad says "No Latency, No Loss".
CME will produce this product with or without crowdfunding "support".
Current Yamaha Synthesizers: Montage Classic 7, Motif XF6, S90XS, MO6, EX5R
15 milliseconds at 26 Celsius will allow the sound travel 5.2 meters.
D=15/1000*340.293*((273.15+26)/288.15)^0.5
Set a stage just 11 meters wide and the one at the very center will receive the sounds from their colleges on left and right after 15 milliseconds have elapsed.
Let's leave the scenario and reach the yard.
If a mild wind blows across very many people standing at the rear in the concert will just hear a single channel, not stereo. As for their latency, we better forget; otherwise place a CD on the tray while staying at home and press play to get far much better results.
I am currently a happy owner of a pair of WIDI Master for MIDI and it is one of the best products I have ever used so far. MIDI out fantom powered, autopairing, imperceptible latency. They connect an old CVP-96 dated 1996 adding 16 external voices to my synth.
I love it.
Wireless MIDI done, now comes the return signal for audio and it turns out all the devices I have tried along many years are meant for mono and for guitars. The makers even don't recommend using a pair to get stereo due to interferences.
So I am very interested indeed in iWA.
Thank you for your support, #745 so far.
Wireless keyboards !!!!
Anyone else tired of the increasing trend towards ubiquity of Whataboutism?
Fernando... why isn't this tech being applied to headphones, where it might be more useful?
I don't know, Andrew.
After Bluetooth was released and found great for mouses and typing keyboards they started releasing headphones. Then we were told Bluetooth couldn't achive high quality audio.
So I asked why those wireless headphones were not using WI-FI and got no answer.
Well, I got one: "You tell us".
Qualcomm said past September they will be offering lossles audio via its new Bluetooth.
The fact is that guitar players have many options while keyboards are still being left behind.
