I cannot get my Digital In to process thru my Effects and Volume in a Performance. Have it set to Main L/R Output similar to my A/D Input which does work. So for example my Hollywood Strings on my iMac pass right to the Main Out and I can not add Effects. Any suggestions?

Not Montage issue. Determined it’s Hollywood Strings problem

If Montage M is similar to the Montage Classic then Digital M can be assigned to different destinations. Main L&R is a destination, as you mention. It carries with it Master and System effects. So those are two places you can alter the effects and apply them to the Digital In (on a shared bus with the Parts and A/D input - so not dedicated effects).
If you wanted to, you could set the Digital In routing to Assign L&R then run patch cables from the Assign L&R outputs to A/D Input. Now you should be able to leverage the A/D input Part effects which would be dedicated.
