Following my previous video comparing the audio output from Yamaha MONTAGE M and the original MONTAGE, I have recorded a new selection of performance auditions and arranged them in a different way to make it easier to compare their output.

This time, I will play ten seconds of each performance on MONTAGE M, then play the same ten seconds on the original MONTAGE, before allowing the performance to play out while semi-randomly cutting back and forth.

Additionally, the video will show spectrum analysers for each MONTAGE on screen at all times.

As a reminder, the synthesizers were volume-matched using their master volume controls, and the recordings were made from the balanced audio outputs at 192 kHz to maintain maximum quality throughout the edit.

Does Yamaha’s Pure Analog Circuit 2 make an audible difference? Hear for yourself, as once again we listen to MONTAGE and MONTAGE M showing off what they can do.

... looks like my original topic was posted as private, and the forum from hell won't let me change it to public, so here is the content...

Various people have claimed that they can hear the improvements made with Pure Analog Circuit 2 in MONTAGE M, so I figured I'd make very high quality recordings from the balanced outputs of both MONTAGE and MONTAGE M, then cut between them to see if the difference is audible.

Prior to upload, all recordings and editing were done at 192 kHz / 24 bit, and the synths were volume-matched at source before recording. YouTube transcodes down to a lower sampling rate, so some quality is lost, but can you hear any difference?
