Just noticed there was a new drop today of an updated Steinberg USB driver. This version is listed as 8.2 MB while the V2.1.6 version is still available and listed as 4.7 MB. Not sure why the large size increase. Thought it might have to do with adding MIDI 2.0 support but there is no mention of that.

The Release notes just say 'Added supported models'

- Added supported models
Not sure why they don't actually list the 'supported models' that were added. And don't have any reason to think this version is somehow specific to the Montage M models.

Usually the synth download pages are behind the Steinberg download version. As of right now, the Montage M's driver version is newer than the Steinberg download page (v2.1.8 on the steinberg.net link below).

As far as filesize:

... there was a big jump from v2.1.7 to v2.1.8. v2.1.8 has better notes:
- Arm processors are officially supported. As of the release date, the supported models are limited to the Steinberg IXO series. For the support status of other models, please refer to the support information and software download page for each model.
- Solved some minor problems.
So starting with v2.1.8 of the drivers, the Steinberg IXO line of audio interfaces now work on Windows on Arm (WoA) and this would be the reason for the nearly doubling in size.

When will the Mac USB driver be updated?
Mac OS 15.6 consistently tells me that the Yamaha/Steinberg USB driver 3.1.7 is not compatible with every incremental OS 15 update. As you know, Mac OS 26 is 60 or so days out.
