Any plans on Yamaha (maybe on this site) creating a downloadable user contributory library to share pads, sounds, etc. with their fellow Montage owners?
I'm sure most creators are way better than I.......
It has been discussed. You may not be aware of it, but for the mini-key, mobile reface CS/CP/DX/YC keyboards we've launched an international sound sharing web community (already over 4500 contributions) from users around the world (Soundmondo, link at the top of the page). It utilizes the new Chrome-Midi protocol to communicate directly with your instrument.
It is not an easy thing to implement but, going forward you can anticipate some thing along those lines for synthesizer's. Sorry, no timeline currently, but stay tuned. It's still very early. Right now it would be a lot of Preset tweaked (which is fine)... but as time goes forward, folks will be able contribute better and fully unique programs... It may take some time, so in the meantime, start learning/mastering programming.
It's a very deep instrument...
Yes, that mobile reface is what gave me the idea.......hopefully in the future the same can be done for the montage. The newest FW update has more pads which is great. To have the ability to share your custom creations as a load able performance complete with presets, scenes, etc. would be fantastic. Let's hope for now they keep including some special ones with future updates : )
