Hi,
There's been some speculation on this site about Yamaha putting the An1x engine into the Montage at some point in the future. You ought to watch this video from musictrackjp

Filmed in 2014, the presenter, Ujiie, was one of the Montage sound programmers. In this video his dream synth is the motif + FS1r + An1x - a combination that predicts the basic Montage architecture surprisingly well. The only thing missing from the Montage is the An1x engine... or is it? Maybe he knows something we don't.

Ah, if only there was a multitimbral AN1x engine in the Montage (or at least a promise of one being delivered at a later date via software update - price notwithstanding) I wouldn't think twice and pre-order a Montage in a heartbeat. Alas... 🙂
