Hi all,

First of all, sorry for my bad english.
I hope you can help me. I am using 2 Montages (6 & 8), 6 as a master, I have configure the Live set list in order to press a slot in Montage6 and change it also in Montage8 (ok this part!)

The problem is that when I change the performance (pressing the sustain pedal), the sound is cutting, but in other slots I don´t have the problem..

I did this video, maybe it's easier to understand than my english.

Thanks in advance!
Regards

When your Live Set slots can participate in “Seamless Sound Switching”, it will have the purple three letter icon “SSS” in the lower right corner of the Live Set slot’s box and next to the Live Set Name along the bottom of the screen. If you do not see “SSS” in the corner of both programs you are moving between, it will not happen.

What determines if your Performance gains the “SSS” is how you programmed that Performance.
You must use only Part slots 1-8 in the Performance.

A closeup of the screen would tell us more... it seems the second sound you recall (the one that cuts off the Toto riff) does not have the purple SSS icon in the corner (I can see it disappear)... so look at the programming in that particular Performance. Either you have used Parts 9-16 in this Performance or there is some other reason preventing it from participating. Start by looking into this Performance.

Thanks for the answer,

No, I'm not using parts 9-16, and the SSS icon appears.

The strange thing is that if I make the change from montage 8 (with the sustain pedal pressed), the change does without problem and there is not cut sound, but if I make the change from Montage6 (which is what I want since it is easier for me to change from 6), the sound is cut...

Here's another video..,

Any idea what the problem might be?

Thanks again

This is not a complete description of what is required for SSS to work. When completing a successful SSS transition, there is no "the" SSS icon. I say this because one SSS icon is not sufficient. You must have a pair of SSS icons. An SSS icon for the Performance you are leaving (the 1st Performance) and also a second SSS icon for the Performance you are switching to (the 2nd Performance).

Just checking - does your 6 have ARPs turned on for the 1st Performance (the "from" Performance)?

No, I'm not using parts 9-16, and the SSS icon appears.

In the initial video I can see it disappear when the sound cuts off.
The second video is with different programs (??) why?

No one can solve this for you without more information - any reason you are not telling us more?
Example in each Performance there are Parts that are played directly (you hit the keys - sound plays) these should continue as you change Performances. Obvious (to most people) Arpeggios stop if you move to a new Performance, but sounds you are triggering directly should continue.

The strange thing is that if I make the change from montage 8 (with the sustain pedal pressed), the change does without problem and there is not cut sound, but if I make the change from Montage6 (which is what I want since it is easier for me to change from 6), the sound is cut...

That is the clue worth exploring ... it would help to know what (specifically) we are dealing with. On electronic keyboards, in general, stepping on a sustain pedal and holding the keys are the equivalent of each other. There are no dampers, the sustain pedal simply “holds” the keys down.

Also, I’m confused now... I thought the MONTAGE 6 was the master keyboard? Or am I just reading this wrong. When you mention the sustain pedal, you are referring to the actual sustain pedal, correct? Not the Foot Switch doing Live Set+? And to which instrument is this pedal connected?

Methodology:
What data is in the message you are sending from the 6 to the 8? ... make sure you are not including a message to mute or change the volume. Show us the Zone Setting info you are sending from the 6 to the 8. Assume we trust you that the sound is cutting off (putting that in your videos is redundant), that you wrote in your post. To solve this, we need to review the information that the instruments are responding to...

Thanks again,

The problem is that is difficult for me explain you in English.. let,s try.

No, there is not arpegios icon activated.
Yes, I am using the 6 as a master, all pedals connected to 6 (Sustain, foot switch as a parameter 1 (Leslie..) not for live set, and F7)

Other video with Zone settings.

Not sure why if I change from de 6 there is cut, and if I change from de 8 there is not cut.

I know you are trying to help me!, I am sure we will make it.

Let me know what details do you need.

Thank you!

A few things come to mind...

Why are you using Part 2 for external Zone in one instance and Part 8 in the other? Is there a reason?

There is something in between the MONTAGE 6 and MONTAGE 8 that has yet to be mentioned. So before spending any additional energy, what is the connection between the instruments? What device is between MONTAGE 6 and 8? Can it be eliminated?

We will help figure it out, but need all the information you can provide.

Yeah! Effectively...., before answering I tried to check all the parameters and the problem was the midi zone, it has to be the same midi zone in both performances so that the sound is not cut (I'm talking about Montage6)

Now it works, thank you very much for the help!!!
