I've had issues getting cloudflare gateway errors after pressing the "add reply" button.  Most of the time if I refresh the message my reply is there.  However, yesterday multiple messages didn't show up.  However, when I look at the recent post list I do see the short truncated first sentence summary of my post.

I also saw this for other users and eventually, a day or two later, I would see the messages come through.  

What I assumed was that there was moderator approval involved.

I still have a few messages from this weekend stuck in the queue.
