after using a half year my new Yamaha Montage it shows signs of use
below the screen display. to prevent this i'm lookimg for the original factory sticker that we can see on many yamaha montage you tube presentations,
is there any info how to obtain and get that original sticker ??
seems because of the dark colour and using the touch sreen // while after more as 6 years using almost every day my Yamaha Motif XS 7 [siver colour]
there is barely see wear of use.. who knows how to get that sticker for the Yamaha Montage . ???.. see picture >> >>

Maybe they added a bunch of stickers later in the production run - I haven't seen all those stickers on the left/right of the keyboard. I know you weren't asking for those - just commenting.

I would contact parts and see if they can get a part number for you.

From the website:

In order to use the Yamaha 24x7 parts order website, you will need to know the Yamaha part number(s) you would like to order. If you do not know your part number(s), please contact us for assistance by dialing (888) 892-6242, Monday through Friday, from 7:30AM - 5:00PM Pacific Time (closed 12PM - 1PM).

This is regional info from the US - check your local regional website for a parts contact listing in your area.

I usually order my parts through them directly - but the messaging is to get a part number from them first, then go to the website to order:

Head to your local guitar center, etc. and when no one is looking snatch the sticker off the floor model. 🙂

A piece of black gaffer's tape would probably work just fine, and can be removed without leaving a residue. Bad Mister turned me on to it a while ago.

Correct. Gaffer's tape does not leave any residue, this is what separates it from Duck tape (also wrongly called Duct tape) which should be *avoided* due to the sticky mess it leaves... Gaffer's tape leaves no stick mess!

Now i'm confused. What is the difference between Duck Tape & Duct Tape?

Google it!

You want to avoid both, it's Gaffer's tape you want!

There's Duck Tape duct tape...it's a brand name. Duck Tape manufactures other types of tape as well.

If the original label did not perform ("hold up") very well, you may want to seek an alternative like having a label made by a print shop. You would have more choice in the label process and could perhaps bring in your XS + Montage to see if the shop can recognize the difference in process between the two.

I called 888-892-6242 (option 4). The number was available under "contact us" on the website provided. Happened to call during the lunch hour and had to call back. About 5 seconds on hold. The rep indicated that the labels are not order-able parts as they do not show up under either the service manual or their "control panel" list as parts that can be ordered. I asked if there was a factory contact which could help - and this was a no-go.

Printing up your own does seem like the best option if you value this feature. The intent is that these labels serve as orientation tools to quickly get you going but are otherwise aesthetically "ugly" (relative to the clean look of the chassis) and would be removed and thrown out.
