To Bad Mister (Phil) I want to add a 5th voice to a Performance. Yesterday, Avery helped me go to Song, Mixing, find a blank song, then add a legato flute. We stored and saved. However, when I went back into Performance mode in the Performance I call ELP, the 5th fader was silent. I must have done something wrong and not completed the project. I have 8 Performances stored in Master mode. In a perfect world, I would like to have all 8 faders available for all 8 Performances. Lastly, when I am able to successfully add that flute voice, will it stay put when I press Master mode? Thanks in advance, John R.

A Performance can have a maximum of four Parts, period.
When you copy your Performance to a Song Mixing program, you can add a 5th Part, but it is technically no longer a Performance... it is a Song MIXING program with five Parts, each PART set to a different MIDI Channel.
When you want to play all five Parts simultaneously (don't go back to Performance mode) go to MASTER mode.
Create a MASTER program, with Zone Switch = On and set the MEMORY = SONG. Set the .Master so it is associated with Song Mixing you setup and Stored.
Set Zone 1 to transmit on Channel 1 to Part 1
Set Zone 2 to transmit on Channel 2 to Part 2
Set Zone 3 to transmit on Channel 3 to Part 3
Set Zone 4 to transmit on Channel 4 to Part 4
Set Zone 5 to transmit on Channel 5 to Part 5

Phil,
Every time I try to press Master, Performance comes on as well. Here is what I am doing.
1. Press Song
2. I found a blank song
3. Press Mixing
4. Press Job
Here is where the problem starts. I have found my own performance which is USR 2 B13, ELP. I have Insertion Effect Switch on. Current mix part 1-4. But....I want to add Flute Pre 5 B01 to Fader 5. I can find no way to do this. If you can help me add the flute, then I have to be able to call it up and find it.
After this is accomplished, will it let me select only Master mode without Performance? I am not sure at this moment where to find the zone switch to turn on .
I believe I can see where you are going with this. If I understand you correctly when this task is successfully completed, I will have 5 voices in the ELP Master mode, #5 voice being the flute Pre5 B01.
So, as you can see I need help getting there and am missing a step. Can you give me directions or would be best to phone Avery again?
