Hello,
I'm going to be purchasing a Mac computer soon so that I can have thunderbolt which allows the Firewire connection. I noticed after doing some research that the Expansion board for a Motif XF has a Firewire 400 port where the Thunderbolt adapter for a Mac computer has a Firewire 800 port.(I couldn't find any adapters for a Mac that are just for a Firewire 400 port). I was wondering if there have been any experienced issues with an extra adapter From Firewire 400 to 800. Also if there are any 400 to 800 (and vice versa) Firewire Adapters that anyone recommends.
